Teenage movie star Graham Larkin accidentally sends an email to small-town girl Ellie O’Neill, and this starts off a whole conversation in which they talk about everything but their names and backgrounds. Ellie’s hometown happens to be the perfect location for Graham’s new film, and he decides to take their relationship from online to in person. It’s unclear if famous Graham can be in a steady relationship with a girl like Ellie, and what is she hiding?
I would never have picked up this book but since a friend gave me her copy, I decided to just go for it.
It did take me much longer than it should have to make my way through this story. I liked it, but I didn’t love it.
I just feel like it’s all so obvious. Boy and girl meet online, he turns out to be famous.. It’s been done a thousand times.
And yes, it was entertaining. Yes, I did enjoy myself while I was reading it. But I didn’t feel like I read something amazing.
It was a good in-betweener but it’s not a book that will stay with me.
Have you read it?
Did you like it?
Let me know!
