9:15 AM – Made myself a nice cup of coffee and started reading while keeping an eye on Marie (the little monster in the room).
10:13 AM – Read 32 pages. I’m a bit to distracted to make any progress. I think I’ll catch up with my YouTube subscriptions and then make Marie some lunch. I’ll continue reading once she’s asleep 😉
12:26 AM – So technically it’s already day three of the Christmas Booktube-a-thon but I just finished Noughts & Crosses so I’m finishing this post and then I’m going to bed. I don’t really know what to think of this book. There were parts that I liked and parts that I hated. I liked the ending (didn’t see that one coming) but I hated the excessive use of ‘Yeah, right’.. I’m serious, it was the most used sentence of the book and it annoyed me.
But I’ll review all the books once the read-a-thon is over.
I just want to say how amazed I am by the response for this event. So many people are participating on Twitter and I love it!! It makes me feel like I’m a part of this huge community. I didn’t grow up in a family that likes to read, I was the only one who went to the library regularly. I never got books for my birthday or other occasions and as a result I never bought them for myself. So when I started buying my own books, I could help but feel a bit guilty because books cost a lot of money and nobody else seemed to understand my love for books. Not even my husband (not that he minds but I know that he doesn’t really understand). Now that I see all these people on the internet, enjoying the books they read and discussing them.. I don’t know, it makes me love every single one of them. Because now I’m no longer the quiet girl that loves to read, now I’m a well-read woman who’s part of this amazing group of booklovers.
Thank you, all of you!
You all made my day and I’ll be sorry that after tomorrow these group reading sessions will be over..
Time for me to go to bed.
See you tomorrow.
