Top 5 Wednesday: Most Frustrating Characters

On Wednesdays we make lists…

Here are my top 5 most frustrating characters, in order of frustratingness.

5) Callum and Sephy – Noughts and Crosses

I have a review up where I go into detail about why I don’t like these two characters, so I’ll keep it short. Sephy it a whiny, spoiled child and Callum ends up being a hypocrite.. I just didn’t like the book, it’s not that I hate it, I just can’t be bothered.

4) Cornelius Fudge – Harry Potter series

If he had accepted the fact that Voldemort was back when they first told him, maybe the damage would have been a lot less but noooooo Cornelius knows best. I’m not saying he was a bad minister, it wasn’t until after he convinced himself that Dumbledore was after his job, that he became bad at his job.

3) Bob Ewell – To kill a mockingbird

Spreading a rumor that your daughter has been raped, when it’s not true, is horrible. Then not owning up to the lie so that an innocent man is found guilty is sadistic. Seeing it as an accomplishment because the innocent man is black, that just shows you how stupid and ignorant the guy really is. Ugh, I hate him!

2) Lydia Bennet – Pride and Prejudice

She’s so silly and naive, that’s what makes her annoying. She thinks that she’s so smart, running off like that but really she just wants the attention. Even after everything is said and done, she still doesn’t get what was really going on.

1) Belle Swan – Twilight series

I have said it before and I will say it again, she annoyed the [insert nasty word] out of me. Is there any character in fiction that’s more annoying than her? Well, not for me anyway. I remember loving the first book but the three after that were just her whining about absolutely everything.

Which characters annoy you the most?
Let me know, below.

Love

Ellen

  1. Just about to finish Noughts and Crosses and Sephy, Callum and their entire story bugs me. I can’t believe it’s had so many 5/5 ratings. I thought there was something wrong with me until I found this post haha (:

    1. I know, right! Everyone seems to like it and I just can’t understand why.. In the end I was just glad that it was over 😉. Have you read Station Eleven? Now that’s a well written book 😊.

      1. I won’t be continuing the series (I hate not finishing things haha).
I haven’t read Station Eleven but I’ve put it on my Goodreads list (: thanks for the recommendation (:

Leave me your thoughts!!
