Booktubeathon 2016 – TBR

Hurray, it’s booktubeathon time again!

Unfortunately, I’m working Monday to Friday so I’m not sure how much reading time I’ll have. (I feel like I say that all the time, but it’s just the way it is..)

I made a TBR pile to go with the reading challenges and I thought I’d share it with you.

1 – A book with yellow on the cover

I chose Ragnarok by A.S. Byatt because a) I’m already halfway through and I really need to finish it b) it has gold on the cover.. which counts.. right?

2 – A book to read after sunset

I went for Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. I started reading this after I finished Shadow and Bone but I only got about 10 pages in. If it’s as good as the first book, it will be the perfect book to read in the evening. One I can pick up and put down before going to bed.

3 – A book you discovered through BookTube

“I know why the caged birds sing” by Maya Angelou. I probably wouldn’t have picked this up if it wasn’t for book tube. I’m not too familiar with Maya Angelou but I’m really looking forward to getting to know her.

4 – A book by your favourite author

If I have to be honest, I can’t go for anyone else but JK Rowling so I decided to continue my reread of the Harry Potter books. I’m on book three… 🙂

5 – A book that is older than you

“As I lay Dying” by William Faulkner is probably one of the eldest books on my TBR shelf at the moment. The copyright dates back to 1930. So the book is definitely older than me.

6 – Read a book and watch the movie

The only book that was adapted to the screen that I have on my TBR shelf is “The Hours” by Michael Cunningham. I hope it’s good, I’ve heard nothing but great things but you never know of course. I only know what’s written on the back..

7 – Read seven books

Once again, I’ve put Maus on my list. One day I’ll read it! One day!!!

And that’s it. I hope I’ll get some reading done. As it is festival season, my Sound Technician husband is very busy at the moment so I should have my evenings free. (After I make sure that my house doesn’t look like a bomb went of inside it.. #momlife… yeeyyyyyy…)

Are you participating?

What are you reading?

And have you read any of the books on my TBR?

Leave me your thoughts!!
