Books, Wrap-Up

Blogmas: Intro + Where I’ve been

I haven’t done a wrap-up since August… woops.

I have some serious catching up to do!

First off, since I haven’t blogged for so long, I’m going to try and do Blogmas 😉 We’ll see if I have enough to say to last me until Christmas…

As for where I’ve been… well…

September:

School started again (thank god!!) and I reached my Goodreads reading goal for this year (on September 5th) so I added another ten books…

I outlined a side project, just to get myself into the writing mood. (I only ended up writing a little bit but even little bits count.)

Books I finished

October:

Celebrated my 29th birthday, bought myself a lot of books.
Fell in love with the new Doctor. Jodie Whittaker is absolutely brilliant.

Went to an awards show, voted, went to 2 concerts and took a photography class.
Prepped for NaNoWriMo… a lot…

Oh, and we bought a house…

November:

Won NaNoWriMo (more on that here if you’re interested).

Went to the Antwerp Bookfair, felt very claustrophobic while I was there but made it through the day, bought some great books and went to a meet-up. All in all, it was great.

Honestly, I spent most of the month either working or writing.

Oh! I started watching Origin and am now OBSESSED. It’s so good. Terrifying but good.

And we sold our current house… to the first person who walked through the door. I’m not even joking. We saw so many people that day but eventually, she was the one who bought it. She’s so nice and we’re really happy!

If everything goes according to plan, we’ll be moving in the last week of January.

And now it’s suddenly December. 2018 is almost over. I’ll have to start making lists to wrap up the year… I can barely remember what I’ve read this year.

How are you doing? Anything you want to share?

  1. Sounds like you had a busy couple of months and it won’t get any better in the near future, haha. I relate to that so much. :’)

I always think about going to the Antwerp Bookfair, but never actually go? The one time I went, it was way too crowded and since I don’t read Dutch books anymore anyway, it feels so.. pointless in a way. But I’m glad you had fun! 😀 [I’m going to stick to the Boekenfestijn, hah.]

Good luck with the planning and moving and all that!

    1. There are some English books at the Antwerp Fair… not a lot…. but I still managed to buy a few 😀 Maybe we can go to a Boekenfestijn together somewhere in the future… Depending on which one you go to 🙂

      1. Think I’d rather go to Waterstones in Brussels or even Donner in Rotterdam then, haha.
That’s definitely a possibility! Although I have no clue whatsoever when I’ll be going to one.. I know they’re in Ghent next week, but I don’t know if I will have the energy / time to go haha.

Leave me your thoughts!!
